We want you to fully understand what to expect during your rental.

Additional Costs to Understand

When renting construction tools and equipment, there can be additional costs and fees to be aware of, some of which can be significant. We strive to have customers that are fully informed of all possible costs. Please read below to understand some of the additional fees you could incur in addition to the rental rates shown on our product pages.

Fuel

Fuel for equipment returned not full will be charged $5.00 per gal.

We always provide our equipment full of fuel so you can get right to work!

Delivery & Pickup

  • We offer delivery and pickup service.
  • Prices vary by type of item (towable or non-towable) and distance.
  • Landscape Delivery $50.00
  • Light Trucking per hour: $75.00
  • Heavy Trucking per hour: $125.00

Damage Protection Program

  • Our Damage Protection Program is Mandatory coverage for wear, tear, accidental damage, theft & vandalism.
  • Like any type of coverage, certain responsibilities, restrictions and deductible apply.
  • 12% of Rental Charges.

Sales Tax

  • The state of Idaho collects sales tax on everything we sell except direct labor charges.
  • If we deliver the equipment to you, the tax rate will be charged based on the county of delivery.

How the rental process works

Who we rent to

  • We rent to anyone over the age of 18 years old with a valid, acceptable form of identification
  • If you are interested in setting up a Net-30 billing account for your company, click here.

What to bring with you to rent

  • Your Valid drivers license or passport.  This is required for all rentals every time.
  • Your Credit Card.  This is required for all rentals every time.
  • The ID you present must be your own, and the credit card must be in your name, and both must be physically present at the time of rental.

What to expect when you pickup your rental equipment

  • We will greet you courteously and give you our full attention
  • We will ask for your ID and your credit card
  • We will complete the customer information on your rental contract using the information on your ID
  • We will review the details of your rental and discuss / answer any questions  you may have
  • We will print the rental contract and present it for you to review and sign.
  • We will answer any questions and explain anything.  Don’t hesitate to ask!
  • We will make a photocopy of your drivers license and attach this paper copy with your contract.  This will remain with AirOne after the rental is complete.
  • We will run a “Pre-Authorization” (a Hold) on your credit card for the Maximum Anticipated Total Cost (please see below for more details)
  • We will always start all rental equipment for you before you leave to ensure proper operation.
  • We will show you the equipment you are renting and review how to start the equipment, how to properly use it and we will answer any questions you may have regarding it’s operation, safe use, transportation, or any other questions.
  • We will load your equipment into your vehicle and help you secure the load
  • We will thank you for your business!

What to expect when you return your rental equipment

  • We will greet you courteously and give you our full attention
  • We will unload your rental items for you
  • We will inspect the equipment, check it’s performance and refuel it (if applicable)
  • We will close your rental contract out and present you your final bill
  • We will post the final charges for your rental to the credit card you provided when you started the rental
  • We will thank you for your business!

What to expect if we deliver your equipment

  • We will call you before our driver leaves in order to ensure you are still available at our scheduled time.
  • We must speak to you before our driver leaves, so please look out for our call.  If you know you’ll be away from the phone we’d love for you to call us and let us know so we can proceed with the delivery at the planned time
  • We must meet you at the delivery site.  We cannot deliver equipment without your signature of receipt.
  • Upon delivery we will greet you courteously and give you our full attention
  • We will ask for your ID and your credit card.
  • The ID you present must be your own, and the credit card must be in your name, and both must be physically present at the time of rental.
  • We will call in your credit card information to the branch for authorization
  • We will write down the information from your ID on the rental contract before you sign it.
  • We will ask you to review your rental contract and we will answer any questions regarding billing, contract language, or any other questions you may have.
  • We will ask you to sign the rental contract and we will give you a copy for your records.
  • We will unload the equipment and review it with you
  • We will show you the equipment you are renting and review how to start the equipment, how to properly use it and we will answer any questions you may have regarding it’s operation, safe use, transportation, or any other questions.

What to expect if we pick-up your equipment

  • We will call you when your rental period is scheduled to end and verify you are finished with the equipment
  • We will coordinate with you as to where the equipment will be, where the keys will be (if applicable) and any other pick-up details that are necessary
  • Upon arrival for pickup we will inspect the equipment and note any issues
  • We will retrieve the equipment and return it to our branch
  • We will refuel the equipment (if applicable), record the hour meter (if applicable) and review the condition
  • If there is any damage to the equipment for which you have full or partial responsibility, we will communicate that with you quickly and explain the charges
  • We will close out your rental contract and post the final charges to the credit card you provided at the time of rental

What to expect if you are late in returning your equipment

  • It is very common for rentals to extend beyond their original time frame, due to weather, construction delays, and a myriad of other reasons.
  • Within a day or two of your scheduled return date we will call you to inquire as to if you need to extend your rental period, and as a courtesy reminder.
  • If you need to extend your rental, we will re-authorize your credit card for the additional amount that will be due.
  • If you never return the equipment we will file a police report with local authorities and will pursue both civil and criminal charges.
  • We will sell you the unreturned equipment on the credit card you provided at the time of rental.

What to expect if you have trouble with the equipment

  • We absolutely understand that sometimes people have trouble using equipment
  • We absolutely understand that despite our best efforts there are times when equipment fails while on rent
  • We do not hold you responsible for either of these events AS LONG AS YOU CALL AND TELL US PROMPTLY.
  • We WILL hold you responsible for rental fees based on all time out, not time used, if you do not report a problem until you return.  We will not credit for problems we are not told about at the time of the rental.
  • If you have trouble with the equipment, bring it back to any of our branches and we will gladly swap it out for another of like kind, and we will adjust your rental time according to time lost.
  • If we delivered your equipment, we will bring you an alternate and pick up the defective unit.
  • If you experience a flat tire during the course of your rental (if applicable) we will dispatch a tire service to repair the tire promptly, and we will pass along this cost to you.  While we can ensure a safe and reliable set of tires on all of our equipment, we cannot take responsibility for flat tires that happen on job sites.

What not to expect

  • We will not mail you a bill after your rental unless you have a Commercial Credit Account
  • We will happily mail or email you a copy of your final bill should you request one
  • We cannot send billing copies to anyone that is not listed on the original rental contract
  • We generally don’t schedule pick-up times.  Pick-ups are done as truck capacity is available.  Equipment may sit on your site for a day or longer after you have called for pick-up.
  • Please keep the equipment secured as your responsibility for it does not end until it is back in our possession, regardless of when you called for pick-up.
  • You will not be charged for the time between when you called the equipment off rent and when we actually retrieve it, unless you are using it when we arrive for pickup.  In that case, the rental period will be considered ended when we load the equipment onto the truck.
